The Hallowed Stones of Drausia Great trees tower above the gray hued land of the living dead, their leaves filtering the sunlight and providing welcome shade, casting only a greenish light over the eerie villages below. Delicately carved reliefs of the ancient ones decorate the walls that surround the buildings sprouting lichen, moss and creeping plants from deep crevices. Some of these broken stones are as wide as an oak tree and the powerful vines cleave these massive stones in two and spill over the top of a grand temple's ramparts. Hidden behind the more imposing stone walls covered with newer vines of creeping jasmine is Drausia Palace, a beautifully decorated citadel inhabited by the eternal vampire court. Surrounded by a living complex, with the Drausia flag flying high and proud for all to see, this is a place that provides a guiding light to the vampire's in their dark territory. |

Drausia Castle Set high on a hill overlooking the Sea of Meditation is the Drausia Castle, built of dark black stone and encircled by a crown of rising towers. This dark catsle is home to The Vampire Queen and her most loyal subjects. The lights of the vampire court flicker in the stained glass windows througout the night, during the day the windows stand empty and darkened like the sunken eyes of a skull staring out across the land of Drausia. The castle can only be reached by a long curvy cobblestoned path, lined with wild throned bushes of the queen's favorite flowers: night blooming jasmine. Many years ago, during the Voncour reign, the castle was made of white marble and flowers of many bright colors lined the road. Some hope and dream to see those colors again, but it has been years since those brighter times and thoughts of darkness and doubt have set in... |

Venatio Square In the center of Drausia is Venatio Square, which is always bustling with activity whether you're visiting allies or looking for something tasty to eat. The Temple of Voncour is behind a wrought-iron fence in a much scarier, by appearance alone, district of the village. The Voncour Temple is a safe haven for the civilized members of the Vampire brethren who still dream of the olden days when peace was not so hard to find. Also, if you’re looking for a small, clean and overpriced place to spend your evening then Naga’s Tavern is for you. The occasional human visitor searching for a mystical liquid known to give the drinker the secrets of Drausia are often spotted by the local children who will offer their guidance through a safer part of the village. It is more likely that the innocent but cold hands that are guiding you will lead you into the awaiting arms of a vampire in search of an easy meal. Visitors to the Venatio Square will do wise to think twice before accepting the assistance of a cold inhuman stranger... Sub-boards: The Temple of Voncour, Naga's Tavern |

Sanguine Catacombs Deep beneath the earth. Here it is cool, dark and safe, as it should be. The earth is the mother of all the creatures that wander above the below its many surfaces, even the ones that exist beyond the realm of the blessed human existence are her children. Dug deep into the ground there is a mazelike series of tunnels and vaults for the keeping of her dead daughters and sons…or rather for her living dead daughters and sons. Here the vampires of Drausia have lain until they are born again into a new world all their own. Vampires that remember the times before their species could walk beyond the tomb still live in the secret chambers and halls, while many other such rooms and caverns remain empty and unoccupied until their masters occasionally return with a new family member to bury and then welcome into the population of Drausia. |

Incompertus Groves A forest thick with trees of all shapes, sizes and colors reside here in these groves. Under foot there is dense undergrowth such as knotgrass and thorns. However, no matter how disheartening the footing below is to the weary traveler there are safe paths and trails to be found, babbling brooks, and some haunting clearings. The many species of pants here are well adapted to the long cold winters of the north and they create a dense forest with scant light or vegetation on the forest floor. This boreal forest is home to a multitude of plant and animal species and it is the summer breeding destination for many migrating birds. Some say that, if you travel deep enough, you will come across a second entrance to the Llewellyn Forest, a very green place overrun with elves... |

The Great Keir Trees Deep within the depths of Llewellyn Forest , where the trees grow thick and so close together that nothing bigger than a buzzing sun-bee can pass through freely, is a small clearing that stretches for miles on the left and right, but is only a few footsteps wide. Behind the clearing is the first part of the forest that marks the ending of the Vampire territory. In front of the clearing stands rows of Kier trees silent and proud watching over all who wander before them. These hibernating soldiers create a protective fortress around the enigmatic Elven lands. The feeling of serenity enchants the air causing animals and travelers alike to feel at ease. Also amongst the tranquility is a silent warning to any who approaches the guardians. |

Selüne Lake Long ago in the times of the Ancient, when language was at the beginning of its life, the Sun and the Moon had a relationship so intimate and pure that even the Gods were jealous. As time went on, the world soon began to change and the land’s demand for the Sun’s warm smile and the Moon’s chilling kiss grew so much that the lovers began to see less and less of one another. Soon their loneliness caused them to weep for their lost love showering the world in their tears. Some of the tears nourished the land, which created vast greenery that thrived in the Sun’s light and slept in the Moon’s night. The rest of the tears fell in to apertures forming rivers and oceans that raced and nestled throughout the land. One spot gathered so much that it formed a massive lake. On this lake, the Sun and the Moon often leave each other a message of devotion and admiration. And now, centuries later the waters of Selüne Lake are eternally beautiful and never darken or freezes under even the harshest of winters. |

Nünuial Tavern On the boarders of Selüne Lake, lies a quaint building crafted from the smooth gray stones from the sparkling water’s shore. Patrons from near, far, and those new to the land find comfort within these tavern walls. Laughter and chatter fill the air, while plates and mugs are always full as long as the coin is good. Downstairs, chairs and tables fill the room with a massive hearth on the far wall opposite of the bar. Upstairs, several rooms are located where all weary travelers can rest up for where ever their journey lies. Mainly Elves pay the taverns elderly hosts a visit, a few times other races are seen within its walls, though most do whatever business they came for and take their leave. Elves don’t take kindly to outsiders, especially ones with ill intentions. |

Loracré Village Surrounded by vast hills of green almost tall enough to be considered mountains, lies a beautiful village with cobble stone streets and walkways. The Carnesîr River flows across separating the village in to an upper and lower section. The northern part of the village is home to the upper-class and often noble descendants, who have a taste for the finer things in life. Their homes are a bit more luxurious, but still embedded with the natural simplicity of nature. The southern part of the village is home to those not as fortunate to have plenty of coin to spare. Thanks to the generosity and care of the royal De Lac family, these citizens are not without a luxury or two of their own. Sub-board: Carnesîr River |

Gleäsmyr Commons On the surface this massive stone walled garden, looks brutal and untamed to quick judging eye, but upon closer inspection one can see that this wild forest elegant and rich with lush greenery. Known throughout the lands as The Anointed Garden of Ellestrea , citizens from all over come just to witness this wondrous sight. White stone walls with high archways surround this massive garden along with white stone pathways and water fountains decorating the interior. Nestle amongst this luxurious forest is the Helyanwë Chapel, where citizens can pray to the Goddess, herself. And located in the middle is a massive, and elegantly crafted palace known as Anwarünya, where the ancient and noble De Lac family resides. Sub-boards: Helyanwë Chapel, Anwarünya Palace |

Laeding Forest At the roots of the great mountain range of Fenrir a lush forest grows. The tall and dark trees weave their way between the craggy mountains as if the thick forest itself was a chain trying to bind the mountains to the earth. However in many places the sheer rock face breaks through the trees or looms out over the leafy canopy below at great heights in the form of cliffs and platforms of granite stretching out into space. For all of nature’s attempts at caging the wildness of the rocks with its green beauty the mountain always prevails at the breaking its chains. While the dark and dank forest of Laeding stands between the delicate human villages and the wolf infested mountains, it is not the safest place to be. The wild and tortured wolves roam freely within it, seeking out their prey before the rising of the sun. Beware the glimmer of lights you might see amongst the trees and shadows as you dare to approach the forest by night, the lights you see might be the eyes of a wolf watching you through the darkness, bathed in moonlight. |

The Caves of Tyr While many wolves, young and impetuous, run wild in their lupine forms day and night there are those elder wolves who form familial packs and seek refuge in the immense caves deep in the mountains of Fenrir. The ancestral lord of the werewolves holds court in the glimmer of firelight inside the largest arch of stone gaping into the base of his mountain. The caves of Tyr are always guarded by pacing human men and woman with wild animal eyes or the sleeping forms of large wolves. At night fires come alive and burn bright as those werewolves that take on their human form gather close in the safety of their home to plot and plan rebellion or a hunting skirmish while the wolves take off into the night to feast. The empty caves that are cold and unoccupied stand like the empty lidless sockets of a skull staring at the night with sad longing or glaring at the shining light of day with envious jealousy. Dromi's Stones Mountains are great edifices of stone that stand against the ravages of the wind, rain and time. The granite and stone groan and crack under their own weight. The landslides of rock, that have occurred as the mountains broke off the stone that couldn’t hold itself in place anymore, have left behind wide and deep plains of stones in all shapes, sizes and colors. Shale litters the ground along with razor sharp rounds and boulders of granite that glitter in any light that catches them in it’s beams, but with one misstep the seemingly harmless rock can slice open a soft human foot or padded paw. The mounds of rock and dust act like stairways up the sides of the mountains or like deadly slides that could carry away an unsuspecting climber into the abyss or ricocheting into the rivers and hidden lakes that have formed from the ice and snow of a thousand winters melting down along the stone towards the earth from the glistening icy crown of the mountain. |

Faol Mhòr Hills Spread out in patches and swirls across the mountain land of Fenrir, the wolf hills resemble the jagged marks of giant claws making groves across the landscape in the form of raised hills and valleys. The dark color of the thick grass resembles the moss which covers the damp stones and boulders that dot the hills. The skies over Faol Mhòr are often grey with gathered storm clouds that have been carved up and weakened by the mountains peaks above them. Here is where the wild flowers grow and the soft rain often falls. The hunting is scarce here but many wolves roam the hills in search of the mysteries said to be hiding in the mists that blanket the ground just before the dawn. Some say that the ghosts of lost wolves still howl in the hills, making them echo with their sad songs of loneliness and despair. Sub-board: Amsvartnir Plateau |

Lake Fenris In a world of hellish wildness there is one sanctuary of tranquility. The expansive face of Fenris lake stands smooth and clear when the wind is still and the birds sing the songs of spring. Autumn winds brush over its surface and wrinkle its peaceful surface, turning its sometime bright blue face a dark angry black. In the icy clutches of winter the lake freezes over and is surrounded in hills of snow. Wolves can tread carefully on the cold surface at this time but many lives have been lost to the lake when the ice beneath them breaks. Through the darkness of winter the lake waits for spring and on its return the banks are muddy and bright with wild flowers and the burrows of small mammals as the surface of the water becomes smooth and clear once more. The lake’s waters are rich with life and to stand on its shores is like standing on the edge of a rugged Eden. This peaceful but still wild place belongs to the animals and half humans that occupy its lands. |

K'eth Burgh On the shores of the sea, the burg of K’eth is an idyllic realm created by humans. It sits in safety with its back to the sea and is only a few leagues away from the hallowed Llewellyn Forest of the elves and to the east the Wall Market can be seen on the horizon. Many well trodden paths lead from K’eth towards Wall, while a few thin spidery paths cut across the plains of tall grass that surround the burg. It is said who ever follows those roads will find themselves lost in places where werewolves and vampires abide. K’eth is a walled city with white stone houses and gray cobbled streets. It buzzes with activity from the raising of the sun and long into the night when the fireflies come out to dance on the windowsills. Humans live here under the rule of a council of magistrates. Over the years the council has allowed magical humans, witches and warlocks born to the families of K’eth and those who have traveled great distances to the shores, to live in peace behind their walls. It is said that K’eth is a great center for learning with the growing multitude of witches and warlocks providing their aide and knowledge to all. As the towers of the burg raise with each passing century the power and prestige of K’eth deepens. It has become a safe haven to human and magical kind from all across Magnum Terra. |

The Wall Marketplace The magical kingdoms of Magnum Terra all have their own borders and lines of distinction which were once protected by magical walls. The walls sometimes resembled stone and in other places they were just an invisible resistance that pushed you away and kept you from penetrating into the unseen world beyond. Over the years the magic weakened and people begin to cross through into the very center of their world which was a small and bare piece of land waiting to be cultivated. Soon enough a great marketplace, a miniature city made up of all the peoples of Magnum Terra selling their wares peacefully, was brought to life. Here the lights never go out and activity moves through the marketplace day and night. A natural order is maintained and conflict is almost none existent, the people of Magnum Terra convene in peace here to conduct trade. Sub-board: The Court of Miracles |

Valley of Knaves Not all humans are driven by peace and tranquility to do great works, many are filled with darkness and a desire to do great works of villainy and evil. Tucked away in a small valley there is a place which is said to be the home of all the thieves and vagabonds of this world. A wild intemperate place, the Valley of Knaves is filled with ragged houses and fortresses that rise and fall over the ages due to abandonment or attack from rival bands of scoundrels. Many clans of rapscallions also hide out in the marble caves that line the sheer cliff edges of the valley. It is said that you can find the secret valley only by following a map held by the revered King of Thieves who resides in his or her Court of Miracles in the Wall Marketplace. Stories also tell of a great black tower that sits at the highest end of the valley watching over the miscreants below... Sub-board: The Black Tower |

The Red Orchid Bathhouse On one of the many roads that connect K’eth Burgh, the wild lands and Wall Marketplace stands an imposing structure. The lure of nymphet creatures, whose voices sing like siren song on the air, draws you in across a bridge that spans a protective moat. Mist and steam drift across the luscious grounds and from within the palace where deep springs of hot and cold water are kept. In the building’s central courtyard fruit trees and blossom bushes fill the air with exotic scents. The red tiled roof and white stucco walls and columns are simple enough, but the building’s many levels and turreted towers make it seem almost like a castle or temple built to the many pleasures of the world. Within the Red Orchid are places for people and creatures of every kind to come and relax in inviting bathes and tranquil parlors of peace and calm. Inside the private rooms live the maidens of the bathhouse who are trained to service your every need in what ever fashion you desire. The Red Orchid is seen by many as a sinful place, but to those that know its secrets it is a paradise. |

Lyngvi Village Surrounded by fields of golden grass and waves of purple heather, the village of Lyngvi is a haven for the human and sometimes magical beings that dwell here. It sits on the border of the Laeding Forest and Fenrir Mountains. Their looming shadows and the haunting way the mountains reflects back the soft gleam of moonlight as the piercing howls of wild wolves sing in the distant the night has been the secret nightmare of all the villagers of Lyngvi. Countless young men and women have disappeared under a full moon to never return again. Many villagers like to ignore the obvious and think that these young people have just run away to find a different, better life away from working their farmland and raising children. Those few people that know and believe the truth behind why these young people have disappeared, keep their young ones close after nightfall and never let them stray too close to the dark forests and jagged rocks of the mountains. However the wolf mountains will always take their sacrifices and the village will always be haunted by the cry of a wolf in the night. |

The Strigoi Shires In a world of long nights and days of gray halflight there is a refuge for the remaining humans of the vampire world. Dotting the landscape of a deep valley, the Strigoi shires are packed in beside deep forests that are filled with wild game and damp moss. The people live in fear of the shadows that move beyond the high walls of the Drausia Kingdom and in the thick canopies of the forest. Then there are those rare few that deny superstition and the nightmares of their forefathers to walk the same path as the vampires living beside them hidden under cloak or glamour. The older towns, still filled with fear, live with crosses on their doorways and garlic hanging at every window, while at night the door of every house is locked and the streets are patrolled by soldiers armed with stakes and chains of silver. The homes and blood dens open to the vampires are looked upon with hatred and disgust, but no matter how strong their hate the shire people fear to destroy them and bring about the retribution of the Drausia Kingdom. So with fear in their hearts and terror around every corner, the people of the Strigoi shires survive for as long as they can on the edge of eternal darkness and shrouded in winter. |
